going home

Well, our three month trip is finally coming to an end.  Tomorrow we fly back to Costa Rica and return home to some semblance of normalcy, some level of routine, and some sun (we hope).  All in all this trip was pretty epic, spanned two seasons, and involved many many miles of driving.  This is the final shot I took this evening and concludes our adventure pretty nicely.  Fall is my favorite season on the East Coast, and I'm glad we stuck around long enough to experience it...

Our trip in numbers:
NUMBER OF STATES VISITED: 14 (plus one Canadian Province)
FLIGHTS TAKEN: 8
FAMILY MEMBERS VISITED: 29
FRIENDS I PLANNED TO VISIT BUT RAN OUT OF TIME: 6 (sorry guys, next time, I promise)
WEDDINGS SHOT: 2 (plus 2 engagements)
MOVIES WATCHED IN MOVIE THEATERS: 6
PANTS SIZES LOST: 2
PANTS SIZES RE-GAINED: 4
HOURS SPENT RELAXING: 0

Back in business in 48 hours.  I have an awesome wedding to blog, plus two engagement shoots, and a few random other things.  But the first thing I am going to do when I get back is reaquaint myself with the hammock.  Oh how I've missed you and all you represent.
