For as long as I can remember I have been an artist and storyteller. Having a camera is a remarkable tool for gaining access to people and situations I might not otherwise. It communicates curiosity and interest, and is an invitation to engagement and connection. I have been shooting weddings for more than 15 years. I have shot all over the world, in all kinds of settings, to develop an unparalleled technical knowledge coupled with a keen eye for timing so I can be in the right place at the right time without intruding. I provide provocative, timeless documentary wedding photography by capturing authentic moments with creativity and humanity.

Originally from New Jersey, I have lived all over the world including the Bay Area, Indonesia, Austin, Costa Rica, Mexico, and New York. I now split my time between Berlin and my olive farm in Baix Ebre, Spain with my German partner and my two wonderful daughters, Tully & Nova. I approach every new experience with openness, humor, and genuine curiosity. I am also the founder of The Experiential Wedding, an experience design agency dedicated to creating the moments, rituals, and experiences that make a wedding truly legendary.

Life moves pretty fast these days, but a photograph
at the perfect moment has the power to stop time.

You can’t yet know what unexpected moments will make your wedding day magic. But whatever they are, and no matter how many years pass, my photos will instantly connect you to those feelings and bring them back to life for you whenever you look at them. You want to remember the beauty in the details, but also the ugly cries, the wild abandon, the gut-punch of nostalgia. Moments that are tender, raw, beautiful, devastating, hilarious.

And, you want to revel in the experience of your wedding day without a bossy photographer telling you what to do or where to stand. You want total trust that I’m capturing the moments as they unfold, but you also kinda want to forget I’m even there. You want someone who can effortlessly straddle the line between participant and observer. Stealth invisible ninja, and beloved old friend. I understand it can feel weird to have a camera on you all day, but I have a remarkable ability to ensure you never feel awkward or self-conscious, a relaxed poise that comes through in the photos.

I have shot in every condition from tropical beaches to rainy campgrounds, rural backyards to urban rooftops, wide open fields to under-lit hotel ballrooms. What this means for you is that I am adaptable, and experienced. I can anticipate good light and great moments. I always seem to be in the right place at the right time. And I am personable and funny when the situation demands some guidance, invisible when it doesn’t. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

After documenting over 200 weddings in 6 continents, I’ve scaled back to currently being only available for a limited number of weddings and intimate gatherings. I’m willing to travel for a great opportunity, but mostly I prefer to stay close to home and spend as much time as possible with my family.
